Default Springer floorboards

Looking to change from pegs to floor boards on my 2001 FXST Springer.

Has anyone done this,?.. is it a straightforward conversion?

What is involved in doing this?

any help would be appreciated..

Thanks..

All HD floorboards mount the same way, be it softail to Bagger. They should all be interchangeable. Its just a matter of the shape you want. They are easy to replace, only 2 bolts hold on the floorboard pan. If your talking about the floorboard inserts (the top part where your foot rests) then all you have to do is pull out the 5 pieces of rubber connecting the insert to the pan. No big deal just a little work to get the rubber out of the holes.

I did the changeover on my FX springer last year and don't know why I waited so long. Much more comfortable than the pegs. I used the adjustable kit from the V-twin catalogue (2006, pg. 706, #27-1595, $84.46) and it was an easy 10 minute job. This kit will fit male clevis footpeg mounts, and gives you a range of adjustments. Do it, you'll like it.
