Default Tour Pak

Has anyone here put a leather Tour Pak on a 1994 Heritage Softail Classic? According to the fitment chart, it doesn't fit, but the measurements seem like they might. Anybody tried it?

The Tour Pak isn't the issue.
What you'll likely have trouble finding is a rack to mount the Tour Pak to.

I got my Tour Pak used from I believe a 1996 Heritage.
The rack that came with the Tour Pak wasn't a mount but rather just a rack.

The Tour Pak was just simply bolted to the rack.
The rack fit my 09 Heritage and I'm used it that way until I came across a good price on an actual Tour Pak mount.

I'm not sure if a "newer" Tour Pak mount will fit a 94 Heritage.
You might have to find a rack for the 94 then just attached the Tour Pak to it.

Here's a picture of the rack you'll likely need.

Default Thanks for the info

I appreciate the reply Bluraven. As it turns out, the rack you pictured looks exactly like the rack on my bike. I was holding off picking up the tour Pak from the pawn shop for fear of it not fitting. I'm gonna go get it now. Thanks again.

Just have someone sit as the passenger and position the tour pak on the rack.
Then carefully drill 2 pilot holes through the Tour Pak into the rack.
The bottom of the Tour Pak is metal.

Then remove the Tour Pak and drill the rack and Tour Pak holes to fit a couple of small bolts.
Then place the Tour Pak back on and secure it with the two bolts.

Then drill 2 more holes so that you have 4 bolts securing the Tour Pak.
I used allen screws and wing nuts to secure my Tour Pak.

The wing nuts were big enough that when up into the underside of the rack all I had to do was tighten the allen bolts without holding the wing nuts.
Also with the wing nuts it was easier to take the Tour Pak off when I wanted to wash the bike or just run without it.

Default Tour Pak

Bluraven, the Pak in going to pick up actually has 4 arms coming off the bottom and if the ends line up right with bolts behind the saddle bags, I don't even need the rack. However, since the fitment guide says it won't fit mine, I think I can take off the rack that's attached to the bottom of the Pak and install it as you described. That's a good backui plan in case the attached hardware doesn't line up.
