All, has anybody heard whether the Heritage Softail will be made in a Screamin' Eagle version for 2008? Doing a little research over the last 10 years or so, seems most of the big bikes have been done and it is usually 2-year runs with them. Have done Road King, Ultra Classic, Fat Boy, and last 2 years was the Springer. My calculations based on that indicate this is the year for the Heritage Softail. Any opinions or anybody confirm that????? Thanks. I have been told by some that nobody will find out until Sturgis. We have any spies out there????
Really!!! Well, I'll have to look again at the website. Think all before have had a 2-year run and then on to something new. Think that give the Springer a 3-year reign. Thanks for the update. I was going to have my Heritage painted up a little but not if I got a Heritage Screamin Eagle. I would paint that one up a little. Guess I might think about the paint graphics again, though. I really like this scooter. It is just the right size, meneuverability, etc. And has all the right stuff on it. Here is a picture of my 'ride'. Right after I bought it. But it looks a little different now.........oh, oh, looks like it is too large a pic to display. Will have to figure how to get a smaller one. Anyway, thanks for the info.
Had to do a "hook or by crook" to get the info but now have all the models figured out. Started in 1999 and all have had 2 year reign except Ultra Classic Electra Glide is in its 3rd year for 2008. Spring is in its 2nd year for 2008. (My previous mistake.) Road King and Dyna are in their 2nd year both for 2008. Dang!!! I guess I will have to put my hope and my trust in that 2009 will be the 1st year for the Heritage Softail Screamin' Eagle model.....sigh.....oh well..........
You don'tstrike me asoverly anxious or hopeful about the possibility of a Heritage Softail SE. Do you have a special connection on the inside?? I'd hate to have to wait too awfully long for one. Seems I've heard many stories about people buying something a model just a step better than what they have and next year HD comes along and adds a 103 engine stock, etc. And then they go, "Grrrrrrrrr". ha!
There's a part inside me that suspects that as well. I sort of know what I want in the bike and some of the other I wouldn't want them to change either. Like the bags. However, they have an awesome trunk on the Ultra Classic. they have pretty much classes that bike up and kept all the basics there. But they added lots of chrome, more goodies (more than you really need, such as a heated seats (now that isn't bad, mind you, but I wouldn't go out and buy that option on my existing bike). But the bike comes with all that shiny stuff and a great bike huge engine from the factory. Tough to buy all that extra chrome and goodies that they put stock on a Screemin Eagle. They truly are one of a kind. Maybe when all the other bikes are done, they will look at the Heritage, smile, and say "git hitched up, boy, you're on stage next"!!! I may be on my 2nd Heritage by that time but I bet they do it one day. Thankss for your replies. On to Sturgis!! I will put my bike on here soon, as soon as I figure out how to take a max 500 KB pic.
