Default Volt Gauge

Hey guys, i wanted to monitor my voltage so I installed a volt gauge.
My bike's usually hooked up to a trickle charger. I had this gauge lying around so I wired it directly to the battery with a fuse (It'll always show current voltage).
Mounted the gauge behind the seat so no high heat gets to it.
What do you guys think?

Taking my bike to the shop tomorrow to get the carb cleaned and adjusted.

Did you ensure it’s accurate?

I actually went back into the garage and rewired it to my ignition.
Earlier today I had it connected directly to my battery (volt meter would be reading all the time, even when the bike's off).
Probably would of slowly drained my battery.

I think it's pretty accurate.
We'll see in the upcoming days.....

If you have a reliable multimeter you can check the incoming voltage to the guage to know whether it's accurate. Yes a guage hot wired would drain the battery eventually.

I thought I’d share this with you guys…..

Recently, I bought this Volt gauge off eBay and I couldn’t find a spot to mount it on my FatBoy?

Found a spot behind the seat but that was no good because obviously I couldn’t see it.

So, I decided to do some drilling & dremeling.

What do you guys think?

The gauge is dead on accurate (checked with my multimeter). The two switches are for future “Love Jugs” and Fogs.
