12 fatboy lo, 6000 miles. bought it a couple months ago, after my 03 standard was STOLEN. thing vibrates like crazy, especially 5 and 6th gear. Im a 60 year old dude that rides ALOT. I cant put 50 miles on this thing without being miserable. checked motor mounts, exhaust, etc. any help appreciated.
My 09' will do this as well if I'm going too slow in those gears. I also thought I had an engine problem.
Once I started riding at a higher RPM in 5th and 6th the vibration went away.
You may also try pulling in the clutch at those times and see if the vibration goes away. That would isolate the problem as engine or somewhere else in the driveline.
More information needed, did it do this from day 1?
Tire inflation, tire cupping, shocks, something loose, has the tires been changed (alignment)..... the list goes on.
More information and start narrowing it down one at a time.
Start with tire inflation, then condition .....
