Default Help with 2012 Blackline midcontrols

Hello folks,

Not sure if the question has been popped yet... tried to locate Blackline posts and seems there are not too many. In any event, just came across a 2012 Blackline with a 103 motor. It's got to be a custom job, according to the Apache Junction dealer, all Blacklines came with the 96 CI motors. In any event, I am all excited about it but can't reach the controls. NO matter how big the excitement without the pegs there is no sense in wasting time, energy and money.

So, my question to the masses inhere:

Can a Blackline be retrofitted with controls such as the Street Bob's midcontrols? I did this same surgery on my Vegas 8 Ball but unlike the Blackline, the Judge controls were plug and play. Took me an hour to finish the job in my garage at a level 2-3 mechanical skill on the 10 scale. Everyone at the dealership wanted to steer me away from the Blackline because it can't be done but I have this feeling that there is that one guy out there who will smilingly respond to my question and help a fellow rider out.

BTW, I have been a Ducati guy for the last 20 years or so however I dipped into the American bikes as well with the Vegas 8 Ball as mentioned above... Love the looks, the sound, the air, the freedom... and hopefully I can get enough info on my question to move to the next level

Thanks guys for your time,

Lev

No you can't just bolt on Controls from a streetbob. Your frame doesn't have mid control mounts. A few companies make kits for the setup you want. Exile cycles used to make them. Google softail mid Controls

Major PITA

I have a 2007 night train, I am not a fan of forward controls, uncomfortable and no way to change foot position unless you install crash bars with pegs. IMHO a POS design but the bike is cool as heck and I love it.

Definitely a great reply with some serious options to consider from a couple companies such as the one mentioned above as well: EXILE CYCLES

I came across a Blackline with this Bassani exhaust that frees up the right side to work on. Any other exhausts pretty much uses up the right lower part of the bike making it impossible to design a new peg/brake lever.
