This might be a stupid question but here goes:

Can someone tell me what this part is and its function?

To me it looks like a stabilizer link? I recently tightened the locking bolts (top & bottom) on that linkage because it was rattling.

Can that be used to stiffen the ride and lower/raise the suspension?

I never had this on any of my other bikes?



Any help would be appreciated.
