I wasn't sure where to post this question so i figured i'd post it under my softail,I bought a helmet on amazon and I usually don't spend alot on one but this time i spent 380.00 on a bell bullitt full face that i liked. My question is has anyone sent one back after wearing it for a while and got there money back it says i got 30 days.
I posted this question to the seller but no answer after 2 days and i want to try it out.thank's
They probably accept returns if its brand new & unworn. I doubt they mean you can wear it for a while and then return it within 30 days. Would you buy one that someone has worn for 25 days and returned?
My thinking would be.."Once you wear it, you own it." Returns on items like helmets are usually only accepted if there is a product fault/defect, not just because you changed your mind. Maybe you should have gone to a store and tried one on there first.
thats what i was thinking,i'm going to call them tommorrow before i put it on and ride with it.i'm not really a helmet guy but this one is nostalgic looking like the deluxe and i was thinking about removing the winshield and flop down the faceshield for something different.
Generally you can try it on but if it shows any signs of use (or you remove any stickers) you can't return or exchange them. Cycle Gear was an exception because I was going to purchase a helmet but I wasn't 100% sure it was the one I wanted - there were a couple in the running. They said try it for a few days and if you don't like it we will exchange it. So I rode around with it for a week and I didn't like it. Took it back and exchanged for another one that I am very happy with. Don't think any Amazon seller is going to do that, but maybe you can find one.
If you have never used a helmet, I would suggest you not purchase on line - - you need to try them on in the store --- measure your head, or the store will do it....then put one on and walk around the store for a bit - - if it hurts on sides, front or back, try another brand.....
I am difficult to fit, and need to try several makes and models......I wear a Modular Helmet, and like the features.
Helmets are like shoes. You go to a brick and mortar store first to try them on and determine the size and model you want. Then, you go online to find the best deal. But don't order online to "see if it fits" or "see if you like it".

What a ******* move! Use the little mom & pop shop to find what you want and then stab them in the back buying the item on-line.
I don't really like how the world is evolving. Soon all small shops are going to be gone because of people like this.
