Default New Deluxe

I picked up an '07 Deluxe today and put my first 100 miles. I love the bike but I have two questions: Do any of you find the seat uncomfortable? Can you get used to it or what do you swap to? Second question, I know that there is a kit to convert the rear turn signals on the softails to running lights/turnsignals. Do you know any place besides the dealer to purchase it? It is $60 at the dealer, which seems a little steep.

Thanks

I don't know anything about the lighting kit that you are looking for, but when I bought my Harley, I hadn't been on a bike for 25 years and I found the seat a little uncomfortable until I got used to it. After I got used to it, it wasn't any big deal to ride on. After a little more than 2 years of riding and toughing it out, I changed my seat to one made out of leather. The reason that I did that was because my butt got pretty hot at times while sitting on that stock vinyl seat and I decided to make my ride a little more comfy for me. Some have used the stock seat and have been very happy with it, but I wanted a little more and the new leather seat did it for me. What I would do is give it a try and see how things go and if you still don't like it, then maybe you should look into something different that would allow you to enjoy the ride more. Good luck

Re: seat

If you're not use to it, it's kind of like riding a bicycle in the spring after not riding all winter, but you getadjusted to that, eventually. Many people elect to buy acustom seat, if they so choose. It's all up to the rider and what you like or feel comfortable with.

I have 1800 miles on my Deluxe and the seat was comfortable for me from day one. Probably one of most comfortable OEM seats from HD that I've had in a long time. As for the turn signal running light, I also have the HD on mine. Took all of 3 minutes to attach. Works great!
