Heritage seat

I have an 08 heritage and want to put a one piece soft tail seat on it. The hole doesn’t line up with the attachment spot on the fender . Is there any way to modify the seat bracket to make it work?

Pics would go a long way in helping to solve your problem. If the seat is correct for your year bike and only has a single mounting tab in the center at rear then you are missing the t-bar bracket to attach it. The t-bar attaches to the two studs sticking up from the fender and offsets to the back of the bike a few inches. It has a single stud and a plastic centering washer that the seat bracket fits over and is fastened down by a single acorn nut. This is how the Harley Brawler seats mount and the Danny Gray seats who made the Brawlers for Harley. Without pics we don't know if this is the problem you are having.

What brand and model seat are you looking to put on ?

Any Harley dealer should be able to order these parts for a Brawler solo seat (or Danny Gray solo). Drag Specialties sells these seat bracket T-bars also.
