Default Erro Code on my Heritage

Yesterday, I got a strange error code in my LED on my '06 Heritage Softail Classic - TC 88B/Carb'ed. The code was "bu5 er" or "buS er". The engine would turn over but would not kick on. I removed my intake cover, filter and mounting plate and checked the carb. I could see and smell the fuel in the carb. However, after a series of checks, I discovered that I was not getting a good spark from my plugs. I was using two NGK Iridium plugs which were supposed to be good for at least 10,000 miles. they lasted 5000 miles and died. I changed the plugs and used my original HD plugs and the bike immediately started with no issues. Does anyone out there know what that error code is? Also, any recommendations for spark plugs?

I've never run anything but Harley plugs in my bikes. They have alwaysbeen reliable. Sorry, I can't help with the error code.

I don't know if this is the same code but it could be the "BUS Er" (serial data bus shorted low/high/open) Sounds like it could be serious. You might have it checked out.
