My dealer threw in the 1000 mile check... I would ask your dealer for a break on the price or free. If he does not let him know you will no longer spend your money at his place.

I have owned my 2003 SE-Deuce for about two weeks now, and I have already bought the factory service manual for the 03 Softail, the 03 FXSTD-SE supplement, and the parts book for the 03 FXSTD-SE. The $120 bucks or so that the manuals cost me (got them on ebay at a good price) is$10 less thanwhat the dealer wanted to charge me to just install a high flow open back SE A/C.....that he said I needed badly to replace the stock (the 03 FXSTD-SE came with the real deal K&N type). My next question to him was how can you look yourself in the mirror? When he asked me I would ask such a question, I told him to charge someone $130 to do a 10 min. install job is tantamount to cracking a old lady over her head with a bat and running off with her purse!

I called one dealer near me and they said they needed 2 days and it would cost $445... $30 extra for Synthetic, but could take me right away. So I called another dealer (smaller) and they charge $345 and includes synthetic! But they can not take be for a couple of weeks.

It is worth the wait to save $100. I gave $20 of that to this forum
