Big bang on start
IM TRYING TO UNDERSTAND THIS,,, MY BIKE ,,,04 88 TC HERITAGE, SE 204 CAMS,, CAM PLATE, RYNHART, SHORT SHOTGUNS, K&N AIR FILTER,, I DO NOT KNOW IF ITS BEEN FUEL MAPPED AT ALL,,,,
--ROUGH IDLE, BUT STARTS RIGHT UP
--BIG POP OR BANG ON START UP COLD,, NONE WHEN HOT
--CRUISING,, NOT OFF OR ON THROTTLE MISSING, BAD
--PLUGS ARE WHITER AND CLEANER THEN NEW ONES
MY THOUGHTS,,, DRIPPY INJECTOR, AND A FUEL MAPPING,,, OR,,, BIGGER FUEL INJECTORS THAT WILL RICHEN THE HOLE FUEL SYSTEM AS THESE GUY EXPLAIN AT END,,,, AND HOW MUCH WILL THEY RICHEN IT...
WITH THIS COVID 19,,, IM TRYING TO DO THIS CHEAP,,,AS IM BROKE THESE DAYS

Any flames? Bigger injectors alone wont give you more fuel...it doesnt work like a carb by putting in bigger jets. Are you sure its injected and not carbed? How long have you had it? Is this something that just started? I think s dealer can check if its been tuned or not...probably a good place to start. It sure sounds like its running lean.

LARGER FUEL INJECTORS == YOU WANT TO RICHEN THE FUEL MAP AND DO NOT WANT TO USE SOME OF THE SIMPLER OR MORE COST EFFECTIVE WAYS TO DO THIS,,,,, IS WHAT IT SAYS,, AMONGST OTHER THINGS,,2.......2. You want to richen the fuel map and do not want to use some of the simpler or more cost effective ways to do this. You seem to be convinced that you need bigger injectors so just go for it. You can always sell them here for half price when you find out that now your bike is impossible to tune. I know i hate going to the dealer myself but sometimes theres just no work around. It should be cheap to just have them check you tune. Then you can work from there. You have to start somewhere and unless youre printing your own money just throwing parts at it isnt a very economical way to diagnose it. The flame comment was meant to be funny...you know a joke. Get things off on light note...your whole post was in caps so i just figured you needed some humor to back down off the cliff. You could pull your cam cover and check your cam timing, then make sure your pushrods are properly adjusted. If it were mine id really want to know if it had a tune or not.

Mine did this the first time I got it. I bought it used in 2017. Its a 2008 Heritage 96B, that i suspect had engine work. Anyways, I would hit the starter and it ounded liked **** but would start with a bang. Turns out that it has decompression ***** I have to push every start. Have a look at your heads.
