Default Questions on features

I just picked up a 2016 Fatboy. When I bought my 2007 Heritage Softail Classic it came with a fob. The 2016 has no fob. Should it? or is this part of what an alarm system does?

The FOB is only required if there is a security system installed on the bike. If there is no security system then you only need a key to lock the ignition and fork.

So, the 2016 should only have a FOB if there is a security system installed on the bike. If you can turn the ignition on and start the bike with no FOB then the bike does not have a security system. If it does have security and you do not have the FOB it would ask you for the PIN when you turned the ignition on.
