Default softail custom

I went down to the dealer today to pick up some new plugs for my Street Bob and saw three new '07 Softail Customs, two were two-tone paints and the other cobalt blue, that were priced at $15,600. Price had always kept me away from Softails, which is why I ended up with the Bob. I always knew I'd eventually trade it in and now seems like a great time. Last year I test rode a Custom andfelt the the bike had a higher center of gravity than my Bob, (it felt like I was riding on top rather thanwithin the motorcycle). What could I do to get that lower feeling? Change the seat, lower the rear suspension? Have any of you been successful at doing these things to get that lower feeling? I'd love to switch over to a Custom, but I like to feel low on the bike.

Strange. I feel more like I'm in the bike with my custom. The Dynas didn't fit me that well, felt like I was dragging my Ba**s on the ground.

My Corbin Gunfighter seat really lowered me on my Fat Boy.

Here's a side shot for ya.

It lowered me so much, now I "look through" the windshild instead of "over it".
I'm gonna have to do something about that now.

Changing out the stock "poofy" seat will get you a lot more lower and into the bike.
