Default Crossover fuel line

Have a fatboy lo 2010 and need to replace the crossover fuel line so like to put a braided one on. Will the attached fit onto the current NTP ports or i’d need to modify?
thnx

While that looks pretty slick, I am a veteran of removing the fuel tank, with a crossover hose, maybe 6-8 times..... I wouldn't want that on my bike...

On a carbureted bike, prior to tank removal, you can drain the tank from the petcock...

On an EFI tank, prior to tank removal, you'll need to drain the tank from that crossover line...

That style crossover will NOT allow for you to temporarily pinch off the fuel flow (like with the pinch line /cut line / replace line method) or otherwise stop the flow of gas (like with a crossover hose disconnect fitting) as you disconnect the crossover line to drain/remove the tank...

Just know that once installed.... you (or the poor guy you hire to work on your bike) will get gas all over the place if the tank needs to be removed for service/repair...

Just something to think about...

Why Harley or anyone suggests this has a solution still mind boggles me. I added a quick disconnect to the cross line the first time I needed to anything involving the tank and never looked back. Probably one of the most worth mods ever. Silly it didn't come stock from the factory like this

Can you share a picture of your setup with the quick connect?
Thanks already, niv

I have taken my tank off twice, and I came here to say the same thing. Get some hose pinchers, and use them to drain the tank from that crossover line. Get some nipper pliers, and blunt the edge of the blade, and use them to crimp on new OEM hose clamps. There's no reason to use worm-gear hose clamps when there's a cheap way to do it properly.

At least, that's how it is for my Dyna, I should say.

I tried that line. My advice if you want is that it looks cool, but is a PITA to deal with.

Easiest way to drain the tank is get a Harley 62900-01D Fuel Line with the quick connect fitting on it that plugs right into the tank fitting. Just disconnect the fuel line and connect this one right in. No mess and No having to pinch lines and draining each side seperately. it is only about $35 and comes in quite handy. You might even be able to get a aftermarket one cheaper.

Good idea. FWIW, that looks exactly like the fuel line on my Sportster...

thanks,
