Default deuce to Deluxe...phewwwwww

Took my new 07 Deluxe for maiden voyage to work today. Un frickin' believeable. Like riding a cadillac compared to the 04' Deuce. Don;t know what people are complaining about tranny. Seems fine to me and no worse than the Deuce shifting. Yeah, probably runs alittle hotter, but I'm still very impressed. The clutch lever is like butter also.

After reading forums blogs about the engine and tranny oils, I'll wait I guess to replace after the 1000 mile checkup?

Gotta laugh though. The HD sales guy was giving me the lowdown on maintainence, etc. He mentioned to use only HD oils to avoid warranty issues. I wanted to say something, but didn;t want to be rude. He was a cool sales guy. Probably not well informed or is told by HD to push their products..

anyway very happy indeed....

I've ridden my wife's Deluxe and noticed that I didn't get as much wind up through the forks as I do on my Standard. You are correct though, the six speed and 96 are great.

Why is the ride so much more comfortable? The riding position? The bars? The seat? The suspension?

Love my 07 Deluxe. At first I thought about having the seat reworked but the longer I'm in the saddle the more comfortable it seems to become.

The areHarleySE Double barrel 16 Gauge.

if u wanna say something about other oils n stuff...
without being rude

Say... "Off the Record, not clocked into your HD job.... HD tells you to push their own oils n stuff doesn't it..... and that your warranty will not be jeopardized with other oils like Mobil, AMSoil or the like."
