The owners manuals states adjusting the shocks on the jiffy stand.
That is rather difficult to reach for me.
Is there some reason the shocks cannot be adjusted on a lift?
(2012 FLSTC, stock shocks)
Perhaps a little more involved, and had to spend a few $$, but I bought one of those stands that hold your bike upright (Harbor Freight) (tie-downs VERY recommended!) and a little scissors lift (IIRC, Dennis Kirk, the skinnier lift - 2 varieties) and made my adjustments with them. They are also useful for other maintenance stuff, so they aren't a one-issue buy.
Drive 'er on, strap 'er down(!), lift 'er up, and adjust away. Yes, I had to lie down on the driveway to do it, but you'd have to do that anyway if the bike's on the jiffy. This procedure makes it easier to access the adjustment stuff, raising the bike higher to have better access to the area.
One of the "Its not a flaw, its a feature" design difficulties of the machine. Not really something to be done on the fly, or even convenient. I do find that, adjusted for the combined weight of the GF and myself, riding solo w/o readjusting is not too firm. YMMV.
