Default Rear shocks

I have a 2006 harley Deluxe. I bottom out everytime I hit a bump and am considering upgrading to legends rear shocks. Does the deluxe come with shorter rear shocks than other shocks or are they just regular size shocks? Thank you

Have you adjusted the preload on your current shocks?

Cheers!

I havent adjusted preload yet. Am waiting for wrench to come in. I am a huge fan of legend just wondering if all softail shocks are the same as far as size

FWIW....

In the parts finder, there wasn't a listing for a "Deluxe" model, yet a google search for 2006 "deluxe" came up with FLSTNI. FLSTNI shows up on the parts list as a Heritage Special Nostalgia... !?!?!?

Anyways....

There are two different shock absorber part numbers for the regular 2006 Heritage and the 2006 Special Nostalgia (deluxe) Heritage...

Heritage = #54508-00B

Deluxe = #54549-04

Since there are two different shock numbers, it's possible one set are lower than the others...
