Very cool!!
I see where you were smart and left it stock height. Me . . . Dumba&$ here, puts the chrome frt end on a few yrs ago (had the shop do it) then . . . a year later takes it apart to lower it. A buddy helped me do it . . . . . . . Absolutely ruined that bike. Rides like a truck.
End of this month (as time allows) she's going back to stock height. Stock springs in frt. I'm going to follow the advise of "The Board" here and install the Prog 422's in the rear.

Thanks again guys, I am happy with how it turned out and how easy the install was.

byersmtrco - I left it stock hieght in front because I don't want to comprimise the ride quality. Like you I want the 422's in the rear but I have to save up for all the rear end goodiesI want soI can do it all atone time.

I just finished up installing the chrome tins and sliders on my Deluxe this weekend. I was a little aprehensive given all I was reading especially about he 6mm bolts holding the sliders on but mine came out like a breeze. After that it was smooth sailing. If you have a some mechanical ability, a service manualand some basic tools you can do this job and save yourself a few hundred dollars.

On the 05 Deluxe and I am sure the Fatboy, you definately don't have to take the whole fork out just remove and reinstall the sliders with new seals and oil. Piece of cake.

I'm about to order the chrome front end kit and would like to install it myself but I'm hesitant about tearing the forks apart. From your post, it sounds like I could handle it. Thanks for the info.

Thanks for the comments guys. Just got back from a benefit ride and got a lot of postive comments.

j2dawson - if you have a service manual, basic tools and some mechanical abiltiy "you can do it"!!

Good luck
