Default Gas leak

Trying to help a buddy out with his wife's bike. It's a '13 Blackline. Gas was pouring out of the quick detach fuel line where it connects to the tank. I detached the line figuring that it'd stop and give me time to figure things out, but no, gas is still pouring out of the center of the connector on the tank side. I am assuming that I can replace the checkvalve (62189-08) and be good to go? Thoughts? Comments?

Never mind, got it figured out. I guess it's the upper o-ring that goes bad that causes the valve to leak. Ordered a rebuild kit for the check valve from Fuel-Tool and their R@R tool.

Wow, that's funny this thread is here. I was just going to post that my wifes slim just started dripping out of the check valve for no reason. I messed with it for a while and couldn't get it to stop (didn't leak with line disconnected) so I connected it and tried flipping it to run. As soon as the fuel pump ran the leaking stopped. I think I'm going to order one of these kits, I appreciate the info.

That's good timing. I found a video on YouTube that showed how to use the Fuel-Tool and rebuild kit, seems pretty simple. Good luck.
