Spray can black, gold in the little holes, polished the lip with a buffing compound. I spray them with pledge and whipe with a lint free cloth. The oil in the pledge leaves a slim layer of protection from dust, oxidation and helps repel any dirt that sticks. I did the brake discs as well. Easy enough to pull the wheels off and repolish annually.

Nice!
I was going to suggest going with the '05 and earlier Night Train rear wheel colour scheme (one of my favourite features on Reaper is the rear wheel). Very similar to what you've done... just without the gold.
some really nice scoots in here. i just don't really care for the blacked out wheels or centers. or murdered out flat black bikes. i like my chrome .but that's just my tastes. again beautiful bikes .
pat in the hat: after looking at your bike im really thinking of repainting my 99, an alpine white once it needs a repaint. less the blacked out wheels. starting to get a couple chips. maybe ill get gold hardware and anodize the wheels gold. to match my alpine white with gold hardware custom shop gibson lp guitar.
Thanks all. I really think I am going to go with an aluminum ( almost stock looking in the center) and more a chrome on the outer part of the rim and hub and then coat everything with a shiny clear that they have. The wheels will look almost like stock but be a hell of a lot easier to keep clean
I never liked these solid rims done in chrome....look like giant rolling mirrors lol

I thought that a chrome or similar finish on the outer edge and leaving the center its natural colour looks awesome also. Please post lots of pics if you go that route.

after a little elbow grease and some mothers aluminum and mag polish.
Owned two FB's, an '05 95CI anniversary edition, and this current '19 FLFBS.
Solid wheels suk, find a set with the holes instead of solid for your year.
Todays FB rims have an outer ridge that cut the wind much better than the solids.
A lil food for thought.
Come on that myth has been around from day one The solid wheels are no different in wind than ones with holes in them. If power coat is what you want go for it. Bother in law had his chromed , Looked pretty good .
I have kept these as is for 24 years.
