I don't know what they are actually called, but I took off my stock seat, and put on my leather badlander seat on my Heritage.
I am also putting in my "gotsaggybags" inserts, so I have removed my saddlebags as well. I also took out the 4 support studs that the bags fasten to on the chrome fender support. Now I have two open holes on each side of this support.
I cannot find (on Harleys site) any hardware to cover these holes while I have the bags off.
Anyone have any idea what I am talking about and does anyone know where I can find a part number or aftermarket cover for these holes.
p.s. I could also use a cover for the stock seat bolt holes on the bike. The badlander does not use any side support screws, so I have an empty hole on each side here as well.
Your dealer should have chrome inserts that will fit right into the holes. I can't recall what they are called right now, but all shops have them in a bunch of different sizes. I have never seen them in the catalogs, but they are in the shops.
At a show that big you should be able to find all kinds of chrome covers for about any application, and not just the HD stuff. Look for a vendor called Chrome Toppers, they have some cool stuff.
