Lol it does yes. I was running tunes to get the bike running again. I was successful.

The unit is awesome but it's busy for a permanent fixture. And my concern would be weather. I don't believe the unit is sealed from moisture, but i could be wrong. If it is, there's a ton of gauge options that can be run.

You are right, weather resistant. Dynojet says to remove it if you are going to wash your bike. For 500.00 you would expect a waterproof display!

Yeah, my only complaint so far with the entire system. But it does what it's supposed to do, tune the ECM.

So you can quote this and have your report back that much faster:

Got the speedo/tach combo installed. Really cleaned up the cockpit and the brushed aluminum goes well with the overall classic styling of the Crossbones. Thanks again to everyone who guided me down this path.

But seriously, on yours, will the ODO transfer automatically or will you need to use a cable? When I did mine it was automatic but mine is 2011 and using the canvas system.

Thanks for the "short cut"! I read the instructions online and it said that odometer transfer will occur after 31 miles. All of the boxes were checked in the features chart for my year 2008.

There is a transfer cable that comes with the speedo, you simply leave the original speedo in and connect the new one to the data cable for the ECU and it'll transfer the data. After 31 miles it locks to the ECU.

Oh yeah I see that now. Where is the data link plug locate? The unit becomes locked to the ECM in 31 miles, my bad.
