Default Question regarding Pre Load

I have searched the forum for this but I would like a little more clarification . First a little info for the question , I am a big guy 275lbs when I am riding at times I feel like the rear will sway. Now when I ride 2 up and add another 135lbs it is more noticeble . My air pressure is 40 rear/36 front Is this a pre load "problem" or is there something else I should be looking at? Oh and the ride is an 04 Fatboy .

Your preload certainly is part if not all of the problem. For your weight I would put in max preload. Might be slightly harsh but will be what you need when you ridee 2 up. I'm 210 and wife is 150 and that's what I've done. This means you will see 1 thread left behind the locknut.
