Small Project - Deluxe Build... Kinda
Removed and replaced old clutch cable
Removed and replaced the throttle cables (this is a pain in the ***)
Fed wires through the bars (haven't installed the extensions just yet)
Changed the oil (it was time anyway)
Installed new risers
Attached the new handlebars!
In the process of doing all of this I realized that my air filter was crazy dirty. So, instead of just replacing the filter, I ordered a whole new air cleaner of course! Arlen Ness Big Sucker is on the way and I'll add that to the list of mods.
Anyway, you guys aren't here to read text, here's a few pictures. And yeah, garage is dirty, it's a working garage!
All I had time to do was install the new air filter that just got delivered. I just couldn't wait.
Here are a few pics, old filter, new filter, and a side profile of the bike as it currently sits. Hopefully wrapping up the handlebar install this weekend, and test ride time!
To the OP - the bike is coming along really well, keep up the good work!
Once I get it all put together (hopefully this weekend) it'll be time for a test ride and to start thinking about paint to get the bags to fit the rest of the bike and getting a custom seat done.
I'm wrestling between keeping the bike the color it is, or turning it into a 2-tone bike for a more classic look! Something like white/blue is what I'm thinking. More to come
Finished up the cables, wiring, and ended not not going with grade 8 bolts and left the standard grade 5 bolts for the risers. Now time for a good test ride once these winds calm down!

Have been looking at these (and the flying apes) and was slightly put off by the bar width dim at 40 odd inches........how do you find these as from the front at least they look ok?

There's just something about the Carlini finish and badge that make them stand out just that much more, my opinion of course.
