Fat boy backrest upright prob
Recently bought a harley brand backrest and side plates and upright for my 2017 fat boy. Damn upright too narrow to fit in side plates when on bike. Wtf. Read somewhere to try stretching/grinding/etc. i ended up taking the inner spacers off of the 4 pt docking rear bolts and fits fine. Any potential issues developing from that? Not impressed with that whole deal from HD.

Sounds like you fixed the problem. The spacers can go on either side of the plastic bushing depending on what you are attempting to mount to the bracket. You can also rotate the bushings if the back rest feels loose or rattles after it is installed. The bushings aren't actually round, they are more of an oval shape to make give you some adjustment.
