FXST Tire Question
Hello Everybody,
I have a 2000 FXST with stock rims (spoke type). which I understand requires 'tube' type tires.
I am getting a rear tire to match my front (previous owner mixed tires
).. the rear is stock HarleyDavidson which is listed on the dunlop site, but the previous owner had the new Dunlop Elite '3' installed in the front, now when I looked at the tire description it did not mention anything about 'internal tube', so I wonder will it be oK to order the matching rear wheel as Elite 3 as well ? what about the internal tube ?
http://www.dunlopmotorcycle.com/tire...tire.asp?id=86
Any advice.. it is a newbie question but I am confused !.
Regards
A.K.

HI GUY! PURPLE HAZE here from TEXAS! I can give you a web address that has every kind of motorcycle tires and at a good price too! If you are not a wrench like me, just have them shipped to you and get HARLEY to mount and balance, you do NOT want to run a mixed set of tires on your sled or you may be in a all so FUN high speed wobble, but here is web, www.americanmototire.com I hope this helpsBro, PURPLE HAZE. LOOK in your owners manuel for your specific bike and it will give you proper size for your bike.

Hey man, I have another question now...
(sadly those guys don't ship to Toronto, Ontario
).
When I get those tires , shall I get also new tubes with them ? or run old tubes ?.. or bueless ?.. I have the FXST spoked rims so I guess I better run them tubed .

Sorry they do not ship to the great white north! There BAD, but I do not like spoke wheels and if you do I'M pretty sure you must use TUBES, what does the STEALER say? KA-CHING? If you got the cash or plastic buy some BAD-*** rims for your bike, the proper size thou. and then buy good matched set of meat for your new rims, but if dont have funds buy a matched set of tires with tubes and I bet some of those spokes need to be alighned, I know its a chitty deal but you dont wont to go cheap on your wheels and tires!!!! Think about you and a loved one going down Highway 70,75,80, and you have front tire blow, not trying to scare you but just pointing out the hard truth, you seem like a good guy, so for all of us do not go out that way!!! Die from heart attack with 3 chicks in the rack with you, die in style, not because of going cheap on your tires, PEACE! PURPLE HAZE.
