I bought a nice looking tool off Amazon, but can't get it to work.
Tool goes into the bearing with some pounding from my palm. When I go to take it out everything seems great, but the tool doesn't pull the bearing out. I put the tool into the bearing and then I insert the rod to keep it from collapsing, washer and nut.
Is there a way to get this to work? Am I missing something?
Would be wary of a tool that proclaims to pull inner bearing and also automatically adjust tension on the primary chain..........china made junk
I have a similar tool made by Heartland. There should be an audible snap when the collet pushes through the bearing. In between uses, I have to spread the tangs on the collet to get it to grip. Might wanna try running a file around the lip of the collet to make sure the grab surface is not to smooth.
