I'm looking to spruce up my tank area and the factory softail deluxe dash is less than elegant. Trying to build this bike into a show-winner.
Is it possible to swap a 14+ road king tank panel to a softail? Modify it to work? Any useful info would be appreciated. And I'm not interested in those fiberglass plain-Jane panels they sell on ebay.
Remember, I said show-winner, not ghetto machine.
I thought at one time, Harley offered the full length panel
as an accessory (For Softails)
A long time ago, I put the Harley chrome panel on my 2000
Heritage. It fit flush and went back to the seat. it gave it the
one piece look. Problem was, if the sun was at the wrong
angle, the reflection was blinding.
Decided I liked the leather pouch better (Stockton Leather
works)
