Hey folks, I am new to this forum. My question is, I want to protect my bike so I am ordering drop guards today, I just want to know why Softails do not have a rear crash bar available in the HD parts store? Also, why do I not need a drop guard for the primary cover? Thanks

 

I have a 2004 Heritage with a crash bar in front of rear bags. I bought the bike used and guard was on it so I assume that its a OEM part.

Yeah they're called "Engine Guards" now. You can still buy the bag "guards" from aftermarket companies. While you're at it look for the front and rear fender bumpers too.
