I don't know if these fit all Softails or not but I got these for my 2016 Heritage Classic and they fit and look great. I got them from HD online. Part number is 49261-00A.

What looks good is obviously subjective because imo there is no guard, engine, bag, or otherwise that looks good on a softail. The oem engine guard on my Heritage Classic is tolerable and I've reluctantly left it on...for now, but no way in hell would any bag guard go on. If there ever was an oem one, I assume they were discontinued because they didnt sell as I've never seen a softail with one. Not around these parts anyway.
Primary guard?
Different strokes...blah, blah, blah.
