Years ago I installed a Bridgestone exhedra 170 70 16 on my Night Train everything works fine I'm in in in need of replacement and was looking for a new tire and and was looking up fitment it says the largest tire is 150 can anybody explain to me why I got a 170 on my bike with no problem

 

Lots of people ask that. That’s what HD built it with and that’s what tire manufacturers recommend. I’ve using 160/16 tires for the last 14 years or so. Done the 160/170 conversion on quite a few Softails over the years without problems. After running Dunlop’s and Metzlers I started using Shinko 777’s. Great tire wet or dry.I’m getting more miles out of them thanks previous brands. I have 170/65/16’s on my Train and wife’s FX Springer.They run slightly smaller than the Lops and Metzlers. G.

 

Hey! Thanks for responding so quick your answer makes me feel better about buying a 170/70 16 do you like Bridgestone at all??l thats what i have now its been. A good ride to me thinking about matching set the metzler on front needs replaced just asking what your thoughts on Bridgestone
