Bars or Risers?
Looking for recommendations. 2016 Heritage.
Wifey wants risers but I’m considering different bars as well. Bars are 10” height at 34” width. Says it hurts between her shoulder blades. I’m thinking 12” height and slightly narrower bars at around 30-32”.
TIA

I have a wifey also lol Im doing many changes to bike we just got her and bars is one of them.. It has 12inchers with a semi buckhorn position and narrow. Im fitting a TC Brothers 8inch rise with more level hand position and decent pullback and they are about 1 1/2 inches wider. I can add risers if any height needs to be added. Ive heard that when you lean against a chainlink fence with hands out, your body goes to a comfort zone. So that arm/shoulder position can be moved to a seated position for bars.. Kinda made sense .. Sorta
Get her on the bike in an upright position like she’s riding with foot on the pegs. Tell her to put her arms and back where she feels comfortable. Take a picture if possible from the side and front. That will tell you her story.
Thanks to all who had input.
Based on the recommendations and visual aids I've ordered 4-1/2" pull-back risers (2" on it now) and long angle foot peg mounts (she has to stretch a little to reach them now).
We'll see how this works for her. If it doesn't do the trick I'll spring for Mini Apes.
