I'm 6'2 and feel cramped on any Softail. New, old, doesn't matter. If my feet are under me I'm unhappy. Engine guard, highway pegs, board extenders, extended reach shifter/brake levers, bars usually do it for me. Nothin but $$$
Im 6'1' and Im VERY happy on my Heritage (I traded a RGU).. I also had a Mustang Touring solo and pillion put on the bike and it bought me even more room, moving me up and back..
I have plenty of leg room on my Heritage but my knees feel like they are almost up in my face riding my RGU. Even in town, I catch myself with my feet on the pegs on he crash bar. As mentioned above, maybe it’s the Mustang seat on the Heritage that pushes my back and up.
I would suggest for you to go visit the Harley Dealer and test ride all the Rides in Question, only you can feel what is Right for you.
I'm 5'10" I test rode the Heritage, Road Glide, street glide, and a Road Glide, (2008) I picked the Heritage,
only because,
One I liked the 24" seat height so I could come to a stop and have my boot flat on the Ground.
The Second reason was The Heritage handle bars and Mirrors Did not shake and break at Idle like the Tour models.
I Have a Newer Touring Electra Glide Ultra now, The Shake and break is not as bad as the 2008.
The Touring Electra Glide Ultra is just wee tad to high for me at 5'10" , If I lower it then I'll Scrape the Exhaust and Floor board Brackets, in mountain Roads.
Good luck, and Go to the Dealer at just test ride them, if you stay strong and walk Away after Test riding You Might even Get a sales Deal.
Seats are good place to start, like sending yours out to Mean City Cycles. Send em an email, they can move up/down, forward/back and shave the sides if you want.
They've done 2 of mine. Well worth the money.
