Default Fairing help

Looking for a little help, tips and dos and don'ts on splitting my fairing. I installed a fairing on my Heritage to extend my Fall riding season with the GF, had a mishap a week ago and laid her on her side. Not a lot of damage but I can't look at it all season. Dropping it off later today at the painters, any help is appreciated Thanks.

What's the question again? Splitting your fairing? Not sure what that means. Please elaborate.

since you installed a fairing on your heritage, it's gotta be aftermarket. if you want to get the best info, you've gotta give more information then. different aftermarket companies use different methods for securing the inner to the outer, the fairing to the bike, etc. either way though, it should be pretty self explanatory if you look at it.

my suggestion? lay it down on a soft surface, and have some way to keep the screws organized, unless they are all the same length, then not as critical.

This is correct, I was a bit nervous because I never did anything like this before, so I went out, took a good look at it, just the 3 bolts around the windshield and 4 across the bottom. Popped right off. Thanks, sorry I now feel a bit stupid lol.

I'll help by moving this to the Softail section.
