I know this has been asked a thousand times before, but could anyone suggest a slip on to replace the stock mufflers for my '07 Deluxe. I'm looking for a nicer sounding pipe but not overlyloud or obnoxious. Also wondering about performance effect and whether or not dealer has to modify any injector settings or change air filter. If not is it a hard install if you do it yourself? Thanks
Here is a link to RUSH Exhaust. They make slip on exhaust and on their web site you can see and hear the different diam. of baffles in their slip ons. I have talked to them B4 and they told me as long as I left the stock air filter on and used a 1.75" diam. or smaller baffle in their slip ons I should not have to have a fuel management system or adjust the EFI. Once you go to some sort of a upgrade on the air filter you would have to adjust the EFI or get a fuel management system. I believe changing to just slip ons is a mater of un-bolting the stock mufflers and re-bolt the slip ons in their place.
I third the RUSH mufflers. Easy to install and if you get the small baffles then you won't need to change anything. I got the 2" baffles and also got a Power Commander to smooth things out...All for under $500 in a package deal at fuelmotousa.com.

I have heard and read that a P-C is a good idea even without mods as the '07's run too lean and hot and the P-C can help this. Is this true? If so, is it your experience that the dealer and set this up ok and get and use the correct map or do they just 'tweak' it?
If you talk to fuelmoto and tell them your pipes and air box configuration they will set you up with a pre-programed PCIII and you can just plug and play. Some fine tuning might be required but the canned maps are usually very close to spot on. You shouldnt have to take it to a dealer or mechanic for install unless you want to get a dyno tune done.

Chris, where is the unit placed? Does it come with instructions on how to tie it into the wiring harnass?
