My (new to me) '98 Heritage needs new tires. Currently running 140/70-18 rear 130/70-18 front (both pirelli but different models). Should I keep the 140 rear or drop down to the 130? I've always ran matching Metzeler but they don't have that size combo & can't find any other brands with these size combinations right now (Avon still out of stock). Any recommendations on trusted brands, size combos, mix n match same brand diff model etc? Thanks!
18's are a difficult find. I learned the hard when I opted for an 18" Fat 52 spoke front, Only choice other then Vee and Shitko was Continental. And their White Walls suck Long story short, 2 brand new tires, white walls suffered a bleeding pitiful yellowing color only days after cleaning. Problem with the white wall, so they're sending me 2 brand new tires in the fall when they start running the 16 and 18s again. Not sure how attached you are to 18's but maybe finding 16"s to swap em with. Also snoop around the Touring section, lotta bigger wheels there. Good luck.
Bummer about your whitewalls, glad they're sending you new ones!& I'm not attached attached to the 18, so swapping is definitely an option. Thanks for the help! Any other options, I'm still ears
This will actually be the 3rd set, the second set they sent me never made it on the rim. Good luck.

I appreciate that, I'd definitely be interested. But yeah, I'm out West. I just picked up this bike (finally got my hands on the one I've been looking for!), & It came with the 18s. I've been looking everywhere & I'm surprised how difficult it is for an 18" rear!
