Exclamation Speedo Upgrade HELP!!!!
I have an 02 Heritage how would I go about putting this on is it just plug and play? I'm not sure why this will work for an 04 and up what was different in the 04 that it wouldn't work in mine.

Just based on what HD says it fits, no it will not work....

"Fits '04-'11 DynaŽ, '04-'10 SoftailŽ (except FLSTSE) and '04-'13 Road KingŽ models (except '07-'08 FLHRSE) equipped with a 5" Speedometer."

I'm guessing something in the ECM/Wiring must have changed in '04. Even the Koso gauge version starts at 2004....

I put one on my 06 Deluxe the speedo works but that's about it.

The electrical system was changed, I'm not sure in what way, but '04 and '05 models in general and Softails in particular are odd beasts in that regard.

I went through that with my '03 Heritage, way back when....

I wanted a certain speedo, but it only worked on '04 and up... I was out of luck...

There were apparently changes in the ECM between '03 and '04.... Just look at the procedures for reading the trouble codes.... totally different between '03 & older and '04 and up...
