Heritage Classic 114 Noisy Engine

Heritage Classic 114 Noisy Engine
I just purchased a 2021 Softail Heritage Classic 114. I had a 2016 Ultra Limited. I’ve noticed that the Heritage’s engine is much noisier and not quite as smooth running as my Ultra Limited. Is this normal? I do like the look, agility, and maneuverability! Thanks!

Just a thought.... are you running the Heritage with the windshield....?
FWIW....
I have a bagger with full fairing, a Heritage with the windshield, and a FXSTS Springer with no windshield... they are all twin cam bikes.
The springer has nothing but wind noise, and the loud exhaust.. with an occasional engine noise at lower speeds.
The bagger, with full fairing, seems to muffle some of the engine noise rather than reflect it back to me, and of course, there is the radio....
The Heritage, with the windshield, seems to reflect the engine noise more than the full fairing bike, plus there is no radio...
I have never ridden an M8 bike, so I have no comparison on noise between the twin cam and the M8, but between twin cam bikes, the Heritage w/windshield seems to have the most engine noise of my three bikes. Without the windshield, the Heritage is more on par with the FXSTS Springer , mostly exhaust and wind noise...
