I'm trying to find out what frame is used for the 2012cvo softsil convertible. I know the frame model. I'm trying to find if it is the same as , say a fat boy of the same year.
I'm looking to fit stock forward controls . They don't offer for this model. Seem it would be a frame from another model they may have used.
Please help ..
Thanks in advanceDave
Did you look at the Frame & Jiffy Stand Assembly and compared the same for the Fat Boy (103)? Both parts says it starts with 47173-xx. The -xx is for the color code used, if I'm not mistaken. The Fat Boy has 47173-11BHP for gloss black, as is for the other Softails.
Thank you that's what I was thinking.
no offence I was wondering if anyone else may know for sure.
Just don't want to return wrong parts .
Thanks again

no the -xx is for the year, the 3 alpha code is the color. so the frame for the cvo is 47173-10ccr (ccr would be for the blue), while the fatboy is 47173-11bhp (bhp being vivid black). so there is a difference in the parts numbers, one is for 2010, the other for 2011. now, what they changed in that year? i don't know. but it may or may not be compatible. either way, the frame for 2012 was first used prior.
Thanks skratch. Seems like the CVO denim color had the 47173-12 frame. The CVO convertible was also an 2011, so they could have used some leftover frames.
