Check engine light coming on, along with battery light, red alarm light, and speedometer needle bouncing up and down while I'm riding. Engine runs fine. Seems like the computer is going crazy. Any ideas? Is there a way to check codes? I did put on Vance and Hines slip ons a month ago or so.

I would start with the battery connections, loose ground or positive(etc) work ftom there. Good luck with it.
Crazy electrical stuff can be from sporadic, fluctuating power....
Check the cables/grounds from the battery... when checking any electrical connection, check it for tight connections, possible bent blades/pins, and corrosion on the blades/pins...
Check the battery itself.... (not just voltage but with a load tester)
Check the main power fuse connections ...
Check the ECM connector...
There should be a way to check for codes, but different years have different procedures... I don't recall reading the year of your bike..
Thanks for the replies guys, what a great forum! I did check the battery cables and tighten them, and the battery is a year and a half old, seems to be weak when starting, but always starts. I bought it a ORieley, I'll go there and get it load tested.
