I am re-doing my friend 2005 Softail deluxe . It has the tombstone taillight and Harley says maybe April. I need it to finish the build. His lense and chrome is good but I need the guts of it. Bike is from Florida so the plastic was to soft from salt. So Im reaching out to see if anyone has one in a shelf or may no of a route to take. Ive called salvage yards and tried after market route. He wants to keep bike as original as possible. Hope someone can help . Thanks guys .
Florida salt had nothing to do with the cheap plastic Harley uses in the Tombstone taillight. My 06 Deluxe was the same way and it's from the North. I did not want to replace it with more Harley plastic junk so I bought a 3rd party Tombstone light.
I only meant the electrical as far as wire contamination and contacts. I would go after market but with a clients money I want to make sure the light works with the radius of the fender. Any idea what u bought and how it lined up?
