I put the black leather weave one on mine pretty soon after I got the machine. The reason was to reduce glare off the panel. If I could not have gotten the panel insert, I was ready to paint it flat black. It's been on there two years now and no problems, looks great. If you put one on. make sure you have it positioned where you want it before you press it down!

If you want to put something on your dash check this item out! It's made by Kuryakyn and i have installed one on mine ( takes about 5 min max) what it does to the console is unbelievable!

Maybe it's just me, but I kinda like the glare the chrome gives off. Lets me know my bike is nice and shiney.
However, on my Softail Custom I just bought I'm gonna go the black route instead of chroming everything out like I did on the Deuce.

well, I got the flame one, laid it out on my console before I stuck it down, & I hated the way it looked. I gotta black console anyways on my NT. If anybody wants the flame one make me an offer & it's theres

TraumaKing, that is great looking. I was concerned it would look too space age, but it actually has a retro style to it. You have just made my speedo insert delima even harder. Thanks!!! Is it metal or plastic. If it's metal, then imboden should powdercoat it black, that would look kick a$$ on the NT. I would even consider doing it on mine.
