I just picked up a 2007 Heritage Classic and found the handlebars have a loose feel. From my research it looks like there are some bushings between the forks and handlebars on both sides. Makes sense if that's the case. Is this common?
I was assuming those might be the issue...thanks for the confirmation. I with that said was watching some YT videos and from what I see you can go that route with the polyurethane or solid replacements. Looks like the polyurethane bushings are the way to go.
Thanks for the assistance!
Done deal! I saw most videos showing that you have to remove the handlebars. I found a long extension and swivel socket and did it without removing the handlebars. Took about 20 minutes and now nice and firm.
Curious how that Ness kit works out for ya, I went with the HD kit, my Indy highly recommended it. I'm pleased.
