Rocker lighting issue
I posted this over in lighting but it doesn't look like that gets as much traffic as over here so I'm reposting it here.
Ok so I have a 2010 FXCWC Rocker. I know the lighting system on this bike is a little weird, being a 6v system and all. A few years ago I replaced the front turn signals with mini LED light strips and last year I replaced the rear run/turn/brake lights with the purpose built moto 3-in-1 lights. I also have a custom dynamics universal smart signal stabilizer on the bike which fixed the hyper flash when I replaced the front signals. This whole thing worked great last year.
Over the winter I did a bunch of powder coating so I have a bunch of stuff pulled apart. I found that with the wider rear tire I also put on last year I had a little rubbing on the wires of my left rear turn signal. I took that one apart and re-soldered it to fix this. When I reconnected everything that light is working fine but now my front right turn signal is not working at all and my right rear signal is acting funny. It turns on when the bike is on but when I turn on either turn signal the other also flashes and the right side illuminates in yellow instead of red when I hit the brake but that is the side I didn't touch. Also the right turn light is always on on my dash.
Where do I start to troubleshoot? I am no electrician, just know enough to get myself in trouble. Is it possible that I pinched a wire when putting the tank on that caused the front signal to go out? Could that also cause my rear lighting issue?
