Default Installing Mini Apes

Hey can anyone help me out? I have a 2016 Breakout I am new to being a Harley Owner. Do I need wiring extensions when converting to 12in Handlebars from stock drag bars, or are the stock wiring harness's long enough? I know I need a longer upper break line going from front master break cylinder to ABS module.

I just responded yesterday to the same question in the General chat:
I'm finding it all but impossible to get a solid answer to that question for my 15 softail slim(non-abs).
I see posts both here and on facebook people indicating 10-12" bars work fine with the stock cabling and wiring. Then some say they only had to replace the brake line with a longer one. I finally contacted my local Harley dealer, and Dennis Kirk support, where I bought my bars(Todd's cycle 10" strip bars) and they both agree that I'll need longer cables, and wiring, so I ordered the whole kit, which is on back-order until the middle of this month. I didn't want to be in a place where it's time to ride and the bike is all torn apart waiting on parts, I'd rather have everything I need and then some just in case.

Ya thats where I am at too, better to have it and not need it. Than to need it and not have it, I walked in to a local Harley dealer the service guys gave me a list. I walked back in a couple of days later to start buying parts the guy at the counter tells me naaa you dont need it the service guys try to sell you stuff you dont need. So I am looking for some answer's to the question.

Put the bars on and it will answer the question. You can do much better than Harley lines and cables. Try LA Choppers they sell kits that will fit your bike.

Frustrating isn't it? LA Choppers is where mine are ordered. Harley dealer had stainless steel in stock for a decent price but everything is black on my softail slim. Backordered until April 15.

4/13 Update***so, 10" bars are installed. I bought a kit for 14" bars. there were no extension kits available for 10" bars. The independent mechanic who installed them indicated he had to re-route some of the cabling, and he had to mess around a lot with the original brake line but he got it all to work. No wire extensions were needed either, the bars look and feel great!

This is the exact reason I do things like this during the Winter months. Even having all the parts needed you never know what you will run into,

I went 12" bars and definitely needed to extend the wires...
