Question regarding Screamin' Eagle kits
I have one O2 Sensor I found with the wire end just hanging loose. I'll look to see if there is another and if it too is not plugged into anything. I've only ridden this bike home from the dealer so far and it rode just fine--impressive in fact. If you happen to see my other post, I discovered paint flaking in the tank and the bike has been down for almost a month with me dealing with that (waiting on parts mostly).
I'm finished with cleaning out the tank and now the damn thing will not start (will not even crank). I'll post a new post on that issue if you care to help a new Harley owner out there. Thanks.

If you did not throw a Check Engine light on the way home, and it ran really well..... there is a good chance that the tune has been changed to open loop only, and the O2 sensors have been disabled in the tune... So I suspect you will find the other O2 sensor unplugged too...
Now the questions are who did that, which tuner did they use, and what mods made them go open loop.....????
I'll look for your other post and see if I can help...
FWIW... I bought an '01 Springer about 3 years ago with 9.8K miles. A really nice bike, but needed deferred maintenance. It had the dreaded flaking tank liner problem... I just cleaned out the tank as best I could. I used the lead shot/tumble technique to get rid of all the loose liner, then put it back together. I did not give it a new liner, I keep the tank near full, and have not had an issue since...
