Duece riser bushing kit
I bought my duece with another riser on it already and was going to try to change it back to factory but have decided to stay with the apes that are on it. What I need to know is what riser bushings to use as everything I look up it won't show me for the duece. The ones that are on it are wore out and I have a little over an inch of handle bar movement which is driving me nuts. The owner before me just drove it like that but I can't. Doesn't feel safe or secure to me. Any info would be great on what bushings to use. Even went to two different harley dealerships and they couldnt tell me what to use. Just said they dont work on anything older than 14 yrs old which i though was crap. Thank you
The Deuce in original condition with stock risers has no bushings. If you are trying to put bolts through the upper clamp for after-market risers, you will need to buy bushings that fit the hole and let the bolt through. Might try some stock ones and see how close they are and go from there. Polyurethane ones are a lot stiffer and would provide a good start. You can always put some shim stock around the bolt or the bushing to tighten up the clearance. This is pretty vague, but at least it is a start.
I use these with apes they work great. https://www.denniskirk.com/alloy-art...prd/H59503.sku
