Default custom dynamic turn/run/brake module install location?

does anybody have a picture of where they mounted a custom dynamics turn/run/brake module install location? I am having a tough time finding a good spot.

i have a mustang seat, that might be the issue.

Thanks in advance.

Edit: deleted post. Didn’t see where I was. My bad. There’s room under the seat on the touring bikes, but I’m no help on softails. Sorry.

Mine fits right under the seat.
Not the best picture but it's the green box in the lower right.

I put mine in the same place as YZR, then after doing a new ignition I removed the ignition module and secured it there.

custom dynamic turn/run/brake module install location?-photo670.jpg
The space under the seat on my bike is tight especially after putting on the Danny Gray seat and it has been a challenge to squeeze everything in but I was able to slide mine down the side next to the battery, kind of tucked under the wiring harness. It's the blue box in this picture.

OP, you don't say what year/model softail you have...

I believe the fitment will depend on the year of your softail and the model of the R/T/B module you get from Custom Dynamics...

Short version.... I do not believe their Load Balancing Smart Triple Play Module (grey module, #CD-TPU-SS-HD) will fit on a 2003 Heritage softail with EFI..... I believe in some applications, you will need the two individual, thinner modules, that do the same thing as their Load Balancing Triple Play Module...

Here is my experience...

I put two of their modules on my 2001 Springer around 2016.... I had one of their Smart Triple play modules (thin green module,#GEN-SMART_TPU_HD) for the R/T/B feature, and their signal stabilizer (load balancing) module (thin blue module, #GEN2-SSHD) so I could run LED turn signals.... I don't believe the single module, Load Balancing Smart Triple Play was out yet...

Shortly after that, the old R/T/B module I put on my 2003 Heritage in 2004 (different brand) took a dump. I decided to replace it with the Custom Dynamics Load Balancing Smart Triple Play module (thick grey module, #CD-TPU-SS-HD).... I figured one module would be easier than two modules for getting the same results...

I could NOT fit that module on my Heritage so it would fit with the OEM seat.... I exchanged emails with Custom Dynamics, they were very helpful. They suggested behind the battery, at the base of the ECM or tucked down in front of the battery... The Load Balancing Smart Triple Play module was too thick to fit in either location. I sent them pics showing it wouldn't fit... They actually called me, and we discussed options and limitations. They were very concerned and helpful... They offerd a few different options to help, but I opted to switch applications between my two bikes...

I found that my 2001 bike with a carb and ICM (instead of ECM) had much more room at the base of the ICM behind the battery. I also noticed that the two individual Custom Dynamics modules, that do the same thing as the Load Balancing Smart Triple Play module alone, were both much thinner...

I ended up putting the two smaller modules, one under the ECM and one tucked in front of the battery, on the 2003 bike w/EFI and put the bigger, single module on the 2001 bike w/carb by the smaller ICM....

I still have the pics if anyone is interested..

Based on my experience and efforts, I do not believe the Custom Dynamics Load Balancing Smart Triple Play module (grey module, #CD-TPU-SS-HD) will fit on a 2003 EFI Heritage... I have no idea which, if any other years/models, this may also apply to...

I believe CD lists their fitments based on the electronics and connectors involved, not on the space available for it to fit... The 2003 EFI Heritage may be the only one that has this issue, for all I know...

Again, nothing against Custom Dynamics... they were with me to the end, offering to send me this or that to get my bike to work... I chose the easy path, since I already had parts that would fit, I just needed to switch them between bikes...

Hope this info is helpful to someone....

thats great info. i have a 2005 softail springer classic, with fuel injection, and a Mustang solo seat. . and the "thicker" new grey module. after a lot of fiddling around, i think it might fit in front of the battery, but i dont like the way the wires will be forced to go. its too tight of a fit. i dont like to have wire squashed up against anything. I might go with the 2 modules as you suggest. I would love to see some pics.

I didn't go out and pull the seat but I think mine looks pretty much like YZR in post #3. And my bike is a 2002 Fat Boy with a Mustang seat that's been there since probably 2005 or so.
